Are you looking for a quality health care plan for you and/or your family?

With CMS navigator grant, HAAP has a group of certified bilingual navigators who are trained by the federal and state government and can provide in-person assistance during the 2015-16 open enrollment period (November 1, 2015 - January 31, 2016). These navigators are equipped to help their clients “navigating” the Health Insurance Marketplace, explore options and access the tax credits and cost-sharing reductions. Consumers can also get help enrolling in the Healthy Michigan Plan, Medicaid, and MI Child. In addition, HAAP continues with its successful outreach and provides language-sensitive education about ACA for Bangladesh, Burmese, Chinese, Filipino, Hmong, Korean, South Asian, Vietnamese communities.Click here for more details.

The HAAP’s director, Dr. Tsu-Yin Wu, was inducted as the Fellow of American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) in November, 2014. According to Dr. Michael Williams, the director of EMU School of Nursing, “This honor is very impressive,… being elected to the Academy is one of the most prestigious honors that can be bestowed on a nurse “Dr. Wu will join a select group of only 2,200 nurse leaders among the 2.7 million nurses in the United States. Congratulations, Dr. Wu. We’re so proud of you!
